Emily and Michael’s traditional Catholic Church wedding was followed by a relaxed reception, with a wild party at Stokes Farm Barn near Wokingham. I joined them as their Berkshire wedding photographer to capture the story of their day in my signature style.
Stokes Farm Barn is a traditional Victorian barn, renovated and run by a brilliant family team. The mixture of luxury touches in the rustic countryside makes it super welcoming. From the balcony bar overlooking the dancefloor to the south-facing garden and terrace, there’s plenty of space for guests to chat, drink, dance and celebrate with you.
The barn is tastefully decorated with fairy lights and foliage, so you have a blank canvas to play with and make things as lavish or minimal as your Pinterest boards inspire! Top-notch florists, Sonning Flowers, provided stunning floral arrangements for Emily and Michael. The bouquets were a perfect mix of relaxed country garden blooms and foliage with traditional white roses.
Emily and Michael had a chilled wedding reception at Stokes Farm Barn, with drinks and speeches outdoors on the terrace. They’d planned a brilliant day, with food, drink, and entertainment at the top of the list, and they smashed it! Wedding Illustrator, Angelic Drawings was creating beautiful drawings and paintings, which were a real hit with the guests.
Everyone made use of the outdoor space, playing garden games and enjoying the sunshine in the afternoon, Emily and Michael’s beloved labradors also got to celebrate with their paw-rents!
Rock, pop and Indie band, Shine On provided the party soundtrack, and with a mix of Greek and Indian cuisine plus fish and chips in the evening, everyone was well-fed and fuelled for some awesome dancefloor antics.
