I joined Rob and Mayka as their Tenuta Mocajo wedding photographer, capturing their big day as well as a pre-wedding Italian themed barbecue, and a chilled gathering around the pool the following day. As soon as I arrived I was captivated by the landscape, I got the drone into the sky for a proper look around and WOW… this place is EPIC!

With everyone able to get ready on-site, bride and groom prep was a relaxed and fun event. No travel plans to worry about, or mountain traffic to factor in! Mayka is Hungarian, and Rob is Dutch so their families and friends had flown out to join them for an intimate celebration. From the start of the day there were huge smiles and laughter, everyone was super chilled and so happy to be there to celebrate with them.

I have to give a shout out to the incredible Con and Thu, the couple behind Si Italia. Wedding Coordinator Thu, and Wedding Official Con Bolderman, who really make the magic happen. Thu’s expertise, organisation, and fluent Italian means he’s the perfect person to have everything under control on your wedding day. Plus, the fact he seems to know anyone who is anyone in the Italian wedding world is really useful!

Con pours his heart and soul into personal ceremonies full of humour, interaction, and creativity, making it completely unique to every couple – and he’s brilliant fun! Working with them both is always great, they really do go the extra mile to make everything special.

Getting married at Tenuta Mocajo

Rob and Mayka’s ceremony had everyone laughing, smiling and crying happy tears. Meyka’s grandfather also gave her a poignant gift, which was a really emotional moment. After the ceremony they exited the chapel and were showered with gold streamers, their guests gathered around the chapel steps for a few impromptu speeches and to raise their glasses for a toast to the bride and groom.

We took a short walk through some of the beautiful natural landscape, to make the most of the golden sunlight, and to capture some epic portraits of the newlyweds. Rob and Mayka also dipped their feet into the pool and had a few quiet moments together before joining their guests to continue the celebrations.

Of course, getting married at Tenuta Mocajo also means you’ll be able to enjoy the amazing food and wine from the region, sat in the sunshine with your guests for your wedding reception on the terrace – what a way to start married life!

Party time at Tenuta Mocajo!

Rob and Mayka had flown in a DJ from Holland to get the party started. The drinks were flowing, and everyone got on the dancefloor to enjoy a wild evening showing off their best moves! The atmosphere was brilliant, so much fun and laughter and loads of love for Rob and Mayka. 

The stunning setting for their wedding, the people involved, and of course their lovely friends and family made this such a memorable few days.
