A relaxed and completely personal outdoor wedding at a luxurious, historic venue, captured in Tyn Dwr Hall wedding photography, by Phil Salisbury.
The stunning Grade II listed Tyn Dwr Hall in North Wales provides a versatile and luxurious home for celebrations of all sizes and styles. Surrounded by ancient woodlands and rolling countryside, Tyn Dwr Hall wedding photography is set against a backdrop of magical landscapes and elegant architectural details that are a joy to capture.
Part of that joy is also in the uniquely personal ways you can get married here, from a formal extravaganza in front of the fireplace in the ballroom to a relaxed ceremony in the garden with the breeze blowing through the trees. The Garden Room is ideal for a bright and beautiful wedding breakfast overlooking the terrace, and the huge windows and high ceilings make it a dream for me as a Tyn Dwr Hall wedding photographer!
On a brilliantly sunny day, Dan and Josh had their outdoor, celebrant-led wedding at Tyn Dwr Hall and it has got to be one of the most relaxed and personal weddings I’ve ever photographed. They planned for a day celebrating with their friends - relaxed outfits, garden games, and one hell of a party were on the cards!
After taking care of the formalities in the ballroom, they joined their assembled guests to exchange vows and rings in the garden. Wearing white shirts and blue linen, their Tyn Dwr Hall wedding photography is an almost completely tie-free zone! Instead, everyone looked summery, cool and comfortable as they enjoyed the summer breeze and celebrated with drinks.
The mini-golf setup from Crazy 9 went down a storm, and I had a lot of fun capturing the competition between guests in my signature documentary style. There was also croquet, Jenga, cold beers and boozy ice lollies, as well as delicious food to keep everyone entertained and fuelled.
After some group portraits in the shade at the front of the hall, I took Dan and Josh for a wander in the woodland (with drinks in hand) as their guests were seated for their wedding breakfast in the Garden Room. Everything about their Tyn Dwr Hall wedding was completely personal and planned with so much love and effort – even down to the cross-stitched place settings.
Having the huge windows with the view over the surrounding countryside keeps a connection with the outdoors that I capture in your Tyn Dwr Hall wedding photography, you can watch as the sun goes down and day becomes night, with the light of golden hour creating a perfect backdrop for speeches.
Performers, dancers, and just generally lovely people filled their day with smiles and laughter – and provided some expert-level partying into the night. Their singalong skills were AWESOME, and it’s a party I would definitely sign up for again! Cowboys and cockerels were wandering around by the end of the evening too… don’t ask!
This wedding was a prime example of how doing things your way can be the key to creating a day that you can relax and enjoy, from the dress code and décor to the games, location and food – do what makes you happy!
